About Us

Welcome! I'm Gabby- wife, mom of five, and owner of Blue Whale. 

It started with a blow out. Literally. We were parents to two young children plus a newborn and we were tired of her blow outs. Day trips consisted of packing two extra outfits and TONS of disposable diapers. Outfits were accidentally thrown away because they were placed in plastic grocery store bags. We were the most unsustainable family in the world. I reached out to my sister in law and asked for recommendations on a wet bag that wouldn't leak. She proceeded to ask me if we were going to cloth diaper and while I hadn't thought about it, it didn't sound like a bad idea. She sent me some to try and the rest was history. I always loved Earth Day as a child and learning how to live a sustainable life fascinated me. We started cloth diapering in 2016, along with switching to using cloth wipes, mama cloth, and unpaper towels. In 2018, we decided to go minimalist and donate extra unused items to women and children in shelters. By February 2019, we welcomed our fourth child and we were ecstatic to be able to cloth from birth. Come early 2020, we played with the idea of opening our own natural parenting store and educating our community about living sustainably. With the help and support of my loving husband, Javi, we founded Blue Whale in March 2020. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and provide knowledge in reducing carbon footprint by using Earth friendly products. Join us on our mission to Make Earth Cool Again!
